AOJIA Establishes Innovation Committee and Launches Company-Wide Innovation Initiative
AOJIA has established an Innovation Committee and launched a company-wide initiative to turn employees’ ideas into improvements in products, processes, quality and management. General Manager Kamen Lee outlined support for reasonable innovation expenses and rewards for both ideas and implementation.
AOJIA recently held an employee innovation kickoff meeting, formally establishing its Innovation Committee and launching a company-wide innovation initiative. General Manager Kamen Lee attended the meeting and outlined the company’s commitment to covering reasonable innovation expenses and rewarding valuable contributions, encouraging every employee to help drive the company’s development through innovation.
An Innovation Committee to Support Every Employee
The new committee will coordinate AOJIA’s innovation activities, overseeing the collection, evaluation, development and rollout of projects. It will provide an open, inclusive and efficient platform where employees can contribute ideas and receive support in putting them into practice.
Regular workshops, experience-sharing sessions and project presentations will help move proposals from initial ideas to practical implementation.
Kamen Lee: Innovation Is a Core Driver of Business Development
Addressing the meeting, General Manager Kamen Lee noted that growing competition in the fastener industry makes continuous innovation essential to maintaining a strong market position. Innovation, he emphasized, is not solely the responsibility of the R&D department: it is an opportunity and a responsibility for every AOJIA employee.
He set out four principles to support participation across the company:
- The company covers reasonable expenses: reasonable costs incurred by employees in the course of innovation will be borne in full by AOJIA.
- Valuable improvements are rewarded, large or small: innovations of any scale will receive appropriate rewards when they create value.
- Both ideas and implementation are rewarded: AOJIA encourages employees to speak up and take action, recognizing the importance of both those who propose ideas and those who put them into practice.
- Employees are encouraged to learn through experimentation: the company recognizes that innovation can involve setbacks and mistakes, and will support responsible trials while fostering a culture that learns from failure.
Cross-Department Teams Turn Ideas into Action
The meeting also announced the formation of several cross-department innovation teams covering production, technology, quality and management. Each team will work on targeted improvements in cost efficiency, manufacturing processes, products and management, reporting progress to the Innovation Committee regularly.
